Green Burial

Green Burial, including scattering of cremated ashes at sea and scattering of ashes at gardens of remembrance, have gained a lot of popularity over the past decade and is very likely that they will be remain the most important burial methodologies in Hong Kong for many years to come. Despite their popularity, scattering ashes of the loved one’s ashes with their own hands still make family members feeling

ambivalent.

After 2012, Sage was once again commissioned by the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department (FEHD) of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) to offer free service of scattering of cremated ashes in Hong Kong waters to Hong Kong residents in 2017. Years of promoting green burial has made us come to realize that many bereaved families encounter immense inner emptiness after scattering the ashes of their loved ones. Sharing the feelings of these family members, we have consistently raised our efforts in perfecting the technique in the manufacturing of cremation ashes gemstones, allowing family members to retain their loved ones permanently.

The utilization of scattering of cremated ashes at sea has increased over the years. We have therefore specially introduced the “Heart of the Ocean” blue-color element to our Memento gemstones, where we come up with our signature Ocean Sapphire Round Cut Kollection and the Ocean Sapphire Diamond Cut Kollection. The blue color represents the ocean and the gemstone represents the everlasting love for the loved one.
